Wailana Herbst

Wailana is a third generation, Big Island born, Realtor.  With experience that began as a young child at the Herbst Realty office, where her grandmother and mother worked. Prior to becoming licensed, Wailana worked at the Hawaii Island Board of REALTORS, in property management with the Big Island Housing Foundation and as an assistant to several other agents. Wailana is alumni of the University of Hawaii at Hilo where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. ______________________________________________________________________ Immediately after graduating, she activated her license and became a full time agent, and has been so since 2005.  Wailana has earned notable awards and designations throughout her career, and was most recently named the 2017 Realtor of the Year by the Hawaii Island REALTORS Association.  She was honored for her volunteer work with the local and state associations, where she has served at both the committee and board levels for over 10 years.  She has been an officer and director of both boards, serving as Director, Treasurer and President of Hawaii Island REALTORS and as Director and Treasurer of the Hawaii Association of REALTORS on Oahu.  Wailana feels it is her duty to volunteer and give back to the associations and communities who have given so much to her. _______________________________________________________________________  In turn, she also enjoys working with veterans and repeat clients to make their dreams come true. Wailana has extensive local knowledge and respect for Hawaii.  She specializes in selling along the East Coast of the island and has closed over 300 transactions and counting!
