“My experience with agent Tania Michaels was extremely disappointing. She was hired by my ex-husband to sell our home during a divorce—a process that is already difficult and requires careful handling. From the start, I had concerns about her approach. She recommended listing the house at $415,000 despite comparable properties suggesting otherwise. When I attempted to negotiate and find common ground, she proceeded with a listing agreement that reflected my ex-husband’s terms without proper discussion. When I expressed disagreement with those terms and requested modifications, she provided a revised agreement but only sent it to me for signature, while my ex-husband merely received a copy. Her reasoning was that "the other party won’t sign it," yet I also did not want to sign an agreement that didn’t reflect a mutual decision. The entire negotiation process felt one-sided, and in the end, I felt pressured into signing. Throughout the transaction, I did not receive clear explanations of important documents or timely updates. It seemed that her focus was primarily on my ex-husband’s interests rather than maintaining fairness between both parties. Her communication was often dismissive, and I found her conduct unprofessional. She also made comments to my ex-husband that, in my opinion, undermined my position. Despite initially insisting that the $415,000 price was appropriate, she later suggested a drastic reduction to $310,000 after the listing failed to attract buyers. While I ultimately agreed to the reduction, no formal paperwork was promptly provided. Instead, she relayed an offer from my ex-husband that was far below what the court had ordered. Shortly after, she terminated the listing agreement and cited reasons that I believe were inaccurate. Overall, my experience with Tania Michaels was frustrating. While she may have an extensive marketing presence and a high volume of transactions, I personally did not feel that I received the necessary support or professionalism during a complex sale. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend her services.”
