As a graduate of California Culinary Academy, Robert started his career working at The Napolean House in the French Quarter, eventually working his way up to Pastry Cook at the Windsor Court Hotel, then Head Pastry Chef at Emeril's and onward to Banquet Pastry Chef at The Rittenhouse Hotel, an exclusive 5 Star establishment in Philadelphia. “I contacted Robert Van Meter regarding his listing at 324 Chartres St, New Orleans after he asked me to call to discuss the property. When I called and introduced myself, he stated that I was from a call center in another country, used profanity, and ended the call before any discussion about the listing. I followed up via text to clarify who I was and provided valid identification. Despite this, he responded that I was still from a call center in another country and stated that my phone number appeared as spam, instructing me to stop contacting him. I was only responding to his request to call regarding the listing. The interaction was abrupt, dismissive, and unproductive. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable working with this agent.”
