Colorado Landmark, Realtors · Boulder, CO

I do believe in love at first "site" – I fell hard and fast for this beautiful little town of Boulder on my very first visit here in 1978. It was a 4 day impromptu trip at the end of an enchanting summer where I worked in a lodge in Aspen. My roommate was a recent CU grad and encouraged me to come meet some of her friends in Boulder before heading home to Atlanta to begin college at Emory University. One of the guys took me for a tour one afternoon that found us driving northbound along 75th in a Rabbit convertible with the top down. When I gazed back at the silhouette of the mountains against that clear blue Boulder sky, I just couldn't believe the beauty I saw…I fell in love right then and swore that somehow I'd come back here to live.

I returned to get my MBA in marketing at CU a few years later in my Jeep CJ7 and all my worldly possessions. I'm living my dream every day and often tell my friends that no matter how bad a day I may be having, all I have to do is look out the window, see the Flatirons, and it all seems to fall into perspective. As an art collector, I feel like Boulder is the background to the canvas of my life. All the experiences and people I've met over the years add the color, texture, and layers that make me so happy. As corny as that sounds, it really is true. Boulder rocks and my passion for this town has only grown stronger over the years.

I bring my passion for Boulder and optimistic attitude for life to my work in real estate. I have a BA in Interior Design as well and, over the years, I've been involved in everything from simple remodel projects to very high end historic restorations and additions. My design background honed my meticulous attention to detail that has made my work stand out. I know this town backwards and forwards and look forward to turning over every stone I can to help you buy or sell your home.

Other Business Experiences: I'm a serial entrepreneur and have built successful businesses in the computer industry as well as the sports accessories industry. I'm most proud of being the creator of Helmet Headz – those funky helmet covers you may've seen for kids ski/snowboard helmets. My claim to fame was having Helmet Headz showcased on the Today Show and being featured on Pop Tart boxes with a Shrek and Donkey helmet cover promotion when the Shrek III movie was released!

Personal Interests and Info: I enjoy art collecting, skiing/snowboarding, travel to exotic destinations like Africa, yoga, cooking, live music, and just hanging out at home with good friends. Yes, I'm a huge Broncos fan as well. My daughter and best friend, Elise, is in graduate school in Boston.

Client Reviews

What my clients are saying

Marybeth was a truly excellent professional to work with! She referred several great companies to us to help get my dad's home ready to sell. She was flexible with my dad's timeline and his emotional attachment to his home of 42 years. She was patient, a good explainer and a savvy strategy adviser. We felt we were in good hands from our first meeting until our closing day. Every step of the way went more smoothly than we had anticipated. How often do you get to say that?

Marybeth is a TRUE EXPERT. She has not only provided me guidance as I navigate the Boulder Market but has helped shape my understanding of the industry as a whole. There is no one in the entire Frontrange that I would trust more when it comes to buying or selling a property. If I could rate her higher I would.

Marybeth was by far the worst agent I have worked with in my career. I had a luxury, investment property in Boulder that I was selling while living out of state. As a result, I heavily relied on her to provide regular, timely updates. Over the six months MaryBeth had my listing she would disappear for weeks at a time without any communication. She quite literally left the country for weeks with no warning and no prior communication. I would chase her down only to get vague updates. I had multiple conversations with her about her disrespectful , unprofessional lack of communication. She would acknowledge it, agree to modify her behavior, and then never do so. I had to fire her. Regular communication from your agent should be a given. Trying to sell a high- end property out of state is already challenging. The chaos MaryBeth caused and the resulting stress I endured was unnecessary. I have purchased and sold multiple properties around the country and have never experienced anything like this behavior. Steer clear if you want regular communication.
