“I have known MBA for decades and she has sold homes for me on more than one occasion, and will again. MBA is simply the best, most professional and most well connected realtor in Delaware--perhaps not all that surprising given her 40+ year track record in the market. Her work ethic is phenomenal, her responsiveness frequently immediate and always timely. No one knows the market better than she does. Her extensive and diverse set of contacts proved extremely valuable in connection with the preparation for sale of a house held by an estate, including assisting with disposing of furnishings to a series of charitable associations and others, all orchestrated by her. “Here was the problem I had in buying a property. I contacted MB to see a house she listed and this is how she became my buying agent. I told her I was in no hurry and she said she respected that. By the third time I asked her to show me a house she told me she had spent enough time in the search and I should be looking to make a commitment. I selected a nice house but the home inspection showed some things that needed to be corrected. In the walk through these things were not corrected. I objected and Mary Beth told me she would take care of it. The deal went through and the corrections were unacceptable. The contractor that showed up told me right away that Mary Beth was his employer and he would fix what she said in a way she said. He installed a door to the garage that was non compliant and warped allowing me to develop a mouse problem and I had to replace the replacement. Worst of all, I used a home inspector that Mary Beth recommended. He turned out to be terrible and missed major structural problems including a cement slab that was dropping and roof that was structurally unsound. These problems were observable if looked at casually by a professional. I expect the inspection was white washed by Mary Beth's contractor to promote the sale. As a result, I could not sell the house without major repairs and ended up selling the house "as is" at a loss. Mary Beth may be good to sell your house but I would never use her as a buyers agent. I did not feel my interests were protected.”
