I love living in the mountains of Western North Carolina!&nbsp; I grew up about 50 miles west of Asheville, lived in Virginia (gave tours at Colonial Williamsburg -- ask me how that prepared me for a real estate career!)&nbsp; and other parts of North Carolina, but I could never adjust to life without the mountains.&nbsp; And Asheville provides me with culture, convenience, and social activity along with hiking and mountain biking.&nbsp; I kind of fell into real estate in 2001, and I quickly knew I had finally found my groove.&nbsp; Real Estate is my business, and&nbsp;I don't dabble in it, selling an occasional home.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is my full-time profession.&nbsp; I love everything about&nbsp;it: working with people to find the right home;&nbsp;selling homes so that folks can move along to the next phase.&nbsp; I even like the marketing and the paperwork!&nbsp;&nbsp; So what I can offer to you is an agent who cares about your&nbsp;best&nbsp;interests (really), will understand your dreams and desires and try to fit them into your budget whether you are looking for a mountain home, an Asheville in-town home, a place in a quaint small town near Asheville, or just the right place for your pets!&nbsp; Finding&nbsp;a home is a cooperative process between buyer&nbsp;and&nbsp;agent, and it&nbsp;can be very positive and fun. People&nbsp;sell&nbsp;homes for a lot of&nbsp;reasons.&nbsp; It is fun to&nbsp;help people sell who are excited about moving on to the next phase.&nbsp; That could be moving for a retirement dream, downsizing so they can travel, up-sizing to their dream house, or&nbsp;joining households with someone they love.&nbsp; Some reasons aren't happy ones. I have worked&nbsp;with people in financial distress to avoid foreclosure, people going through the loss of a loved one,&nbsp;people in the unhappy process of divorce.&nbsp; I don't "enjoy" these transactions, but&nbsp;I am glad if I can make the process easier.&nbsp; Customer service is the most important thing I do.&nbsp; I try to stay involved in my community and networked to provide you, my client, with suggestions for the best services for whatever you may need. Having grown-up in Western North Carolina, I can help you find the right neighborhood or town as well as the best hiking trails, gardens, craft centers and local restaurants!&nbsp; &nbsp; <br/>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I have exceeded basic licensee training by earning my <b>Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)</b> &nbsp; and <b>Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR)</b> designations as well as the e-Pro designation and the North Carolina Broker's license. I am&nbsp; one of the few <b>ECO Envrionmental Consultants</b> agents in the area. I am also a <b>Certified New Home Specialist&nbsp;</b> as well as a <b>Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) </b> .
