“I had previously purchased a home on my own, so was skeptical about how much value a real estate agent would add and was inclined not to use one with a recent purchase. However, with the recent hot market, my partner and I needed an agent to get access to properties we wanted to see as soon as they were listed, so worked with Jason on a recent purchase. He was not only extremely responsive and ready to jump on scheduling a showing whenever a property listing came online that we liked, he also had the local contacts to get us into properties that were not yet listed. Once we finally were able to find a property we liked and that we had our offer accepted on, he also provided clear value add during the negotiation process. Despite the trend for buyers having to waive inspection, he assisted in setting a cap to the waiver, so that we had a bit of leverage when the inspection flagged a potential issue with an AC unit. He was ultimately able to secure a much higher seller contribution than I would've thought possible. Jason was also great in the final part of the process in coordinating closing steps, walk thrus. He was also able to use his contacts with local officials to help shake loose a permitting issue, and was able to utilize a contact with CSX to help provide info on how often a nearby railroad line was actually being used.
