This was my first time buying a home, so Jan was thorough in explaining the process to me and making me feel comfortable. She let me look at houses at my own pace, but checked in regularly to make sure I didn't need any help or to remind me about deadlines. I was buying remotely, during COVID, but Jan gave me everything I needed to make an awesome decision. When I finally settled on the house I wanted, we ran into difficulties negotiating with the seller, but Jan worked really hard to advocate for me and get me an awesome deal. I'm now happily settled into a house that is, without cliche, better than I could have expected. One other note - I was unaware that when you work with an agent, you're also signing up to work with their team and connections. Jan's team was phenomenal. Jan helped me find a great mortgage with a wonderful credit union that has been super pleasant to work with, and Jan's assistant was as attentive and efficient as anyone could expect. Jan set me up with a great closing company that made the paperwork process seamless, even over COVID-required video chat. So TL;DR: work with Jan.
