Darin McLeskey

As a former environmental engineer, I pair the thrill of value investing with the vision of sensible urban planning. I'm data focused, result-driven, and very aware of the changing real estate landscape in the City of Detroit and beyond. I grew up in the sprawling semi-rural suburbs, but do not only understand the tidal wave of growth and investment in the City, but am intensely part of it. I have a passion for the whole state, and currently manage offices in both Detroit and the Ann Arbor area. I'm also knowledgeable in the "tip of the Mitt", and increasingly becoming involved in the Keweenaw Peninsula. In a way similar to my performance in Detroit, I typically enter a new-to-me market through purchasing distressed property myself. I'm focused on the up-and-coming areas exploding with value just outside of Downtown and Midtown. These are historic homes, townhomes, vacant lots, and commercial properties that are in close proximity to all of the action, but also discounted and take a unique lens to bring projects to fruition. I put my own money where my mouth is. I have developed multiple rentals, and have a growing office in the heart of the North End. I've sold the majority of foreclosures in the North End, have had the single greatest number of listings, and am intensely involved in community organizations within 48202. Most of my listings are great-value properties that I've discovered through my own research based on my own investment strategies. I view my self as a "boutique" type of agent, helping individuals and corporations with specific goals. I've also applied my knowledge of tax distressed foreclosures to purchase acreage out west and up north for myself and multiple clients. Michigan is a truly beautiful and opportunistic State.
