Client Reviews

What my clients are saying

Danny was very steady throughout our transaction, which mattered because timing was important for us. We were coordinating the purchase with a planned move, so any major delay would have caused problems. From that standpoint, his ability to keep things aligned was probably what we appreciated most. When documents were needed from the building, he followed up right away. He also stayed in touch with the lender and attorney so that things could move in parallel rather than waiting on one item at a time. That made the overall timeline feel tighter and more efficient. The board approval stage still took a few weeks, which he had prepared us for. But once that came through, the rest of the process moved fairly quickly. We didn’t feel like we were constantly being surprised by new issues. Everything ended up closing within the timeframe we had been aiming for, which was a huge relief.

Danny made a point early on that when you buy in a co-op, you are evaluating the building as much as the apartment. That was something we hadn’t fully appreciated before working with him. We had mostly been looking at layouts and price, but he pushed us to think more broadly. He explained that different buildings can have very different financial standards and approval cultures. Because of that, he helped us narrow our search to places that were not only attractive to us, but also realistic from an application standpoint. That saved us from wasting time. Once we found the apartment we wanted, the process became much more structured. Danny laid out the board package requirements clearly and made sure we understood what had to be gathered first. He reviewed everything before it went in. There were no follow-up requests after submission, which was reassuring. The review period still required patience, but nothing about the process felt chaotic.

Dayu(Danny) was especially helpful in keeping the moving parts of our co-op purchase organized. There were more of them than we expected. We had our attorney, the lender, building management, and then the board process layered on top of all of that. Whenever a document was needed from the building, he followed up instead of letting it sit. When the lender asked for building financials and a questionnaire, he made sure those requests didn’t just disappear into a management inbox. That saved time and probably a fair amount of frustration. He also did a good job of explaining what each stage actually meant. A lot of real estate transactions involve periods where nothing seems to be happening, and that can make people anxious. Danny would simply tell us what we were waiting on and whether it was normal. That made a difference.
